Review on ๐Ÿชต Woodstock D3831: High-Performance Adjustable Block Plane with 1-3/8-Inch Blade by Chris Elam

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Rrrrrr. . . in my review

I'm not really qualified to review this due to being a novice and all, hence the 4 stars. Why, O Why! do all makers of blades that are supposed to be flat on the back surface curve them AWAY from the back so as to make it impossible to flatten? I fruitlessly worked the back of the blade for several hours on the diamond stone and can't seem to get rid of the curve in the blade. I then moved to the belt sander and did more harm than good. I'm getting ready to just buy a new blade.I think when Jesus sends you to hell cause you gave too many women herpes without full disclosure prior to the act, Satan makes you attempt to lap bowed blades flat for the rest of eternity. Just sitting there rubbing the millennia away, you never really seem to brighten that little corner. I swear I will see that little corner in my sleep.

Pros
  • 6-Inch Block Plane is fully adjustable
Cons
  • The blade may become misaligned over time, leading to imprecise cuts and reduced performance
