Review on COODIA Remote Controlled Dimmable LED Light for Aquarium/Fish Tank (28" – 36") – Color Changing Aquarium Hood Lighting by Michelle Ocampo

So far these lights are amazing. I love all the different color options. I was hoping I could adjust the colors (e.g. 40% red and 60% blue) instead of choosing from preset colors, but it doesn't hurt since there are so many options. I will say that the Flash, Strobe, Fade and Dither options are a bit odd. The flash will flicker but the flash will flash and then cycle through some colors and then flash again, Fade direct flashes only and Smooth will gradually fade through the colors. I'll really never use them so I don't care but big ole wtf on this one. I agree with others that the receiver for the remote control is in a very obtuse place, it's on the cord and not the light. It's not even at the top of the cord to the light, it's at the bottom of the power supply at the end of the cord. So good luck hiding the cable in a place where you can't see it but allow the receiver to pick up the distant signal. Despite these shortcomings, I still like the light. The whites are bright, some colors make my fish glow or really pop their colors, and you can dim the light to a soft light. The price is right too. I'll wait and see if I run into any shorts or crashes in the future after prolonged use, but for now it's a good light.
