I bought these after having to return 4 packs of defective grinders. The previous ones had an unsuccessful design, due to which the mechanism did not rub. So I bought the OXO brand because all other products I have ever used and own are excellent. You really do get what you pay for. This set also comes pre-loaded with coarse salt and peppercorns. Literally ready to use right out of the box. We've had it for about a week or so and they continue to work as intended. I also really like the setting function. Side selector knob with preset and marked positions depending on the grind you want. Other brands require you to turn the grinder upside down and "tighten" or "loose" the grinding mechanism depending on the size of pepper salt you want to grind. OXO offers consistency, and because it's labeled, each individual can easily adjust to suit their preferences.
