Review on Dominoes Imagination Set - Busy Barnyard Edition by Jim Dahl

Very well made dominoes. Bought for my 2 year old granddaughter who loved to mix and match stable animals. The "traditional dots" on the back ensure the game continues long after it has outgrown the animal side. However, I'm not sure why it was rated as suitable for 12m+. My granddaughter is very smart, with above-average abilities, but she struggled with the written rules of the game. If the idea is that a 12 month old can start with a simple picture match, then the rules of the game should be changed for younger children.
