** Revised update - after my initial update below the company actively contacted me not only to offer me a replacement set but also to ask more specific questions than they had I was using them when the crash happened. They seem keen to fix all the vulnerabilities in order to provide a better product to the public. Indeed, that is what is lacking today and I applaud the efforts. Update - I use them all the time now but took them off the vise today and not 1 but 2 magnets remained on the vise. I think what happens is that the bend eventually breaks the epoxy bond. I'll change them up with my own fix/hack and report on things like the "Made in USA" aspect, obvious build quality, and solid magnets. Creaks and creaks a bit when tightening, but no breakage so far. The magnets work very well, but that also means metal shavings tend to stick. But there's no getting around it, it's just an inherent problem with anything magnetic in a store environment. Used these jaws to hold a drill spindle handle which required some filing, did the job very well. I have a heavy duty 75 pound vise so I'm not sure how crazy I'm going to clamp it in my rig, but I tightened it enough where this handle wouldn't move. So far I am delighted and happy with the purchase. Wouldn't mind if they made a brass or steel version of this configuration.
