I bought this device to archive some photos from my computer. I had to reformat the device to a modern file format (NFTS I think) so I could store images on it as it could only accept files/zip files smaller than a certain size (4 gigabytes). It took forever to transfer just a few images and it was only later that I discovered that maybe 1/3 of the images were corrupted and damaged. Now I've lost those photos forever. Was it stupid of me to remove them from my hard drive? Sure, but when was the last time a USB drive messed up your files?
