Everything is fine with manual control
I will look for something better. This is because the electrical side is not working efficiently. Switching to manual mode gives you a heavy-duty sharpener that actually works. I twist my pencil for a good point. I really wanted one for a class that teaches colored pencil technique. The instructor often successfully sharpens it on an electric model. Maybe your plug is one. Manual sharpener for basic, no. 2 pencils are cheap. If Imo uses it for this purpose, it's a lot more expensive.
