Just arrived and of course unpacked and tried it out right away. According to the instructions, remove the blade guard with the protective gloves supplied - that's no problem. But while I'm slicing potatoes with this nice sharp tool and wearing "gloves", I hit the blade with my glove and it cuts right into the glove and rips my fingertip off the glove! Luckily my fingers weren't quite at the end of the gloves so my skin was saved. I then placed the potato in the holder and while that worked well and saved me my fingers, it also has a special way of using the holder or it slices it as well. I have a small piece of plastic that came out (though I didn't take a picture of it) but found it in my potatoes after I finished slicing. As for cleaning, you don't know how to give it a really deep clean without cutting your fingers, although the brush that comes with it will help, be very careful every time you use it. I'll be SUPER careful with this, but am so excited to be able to chop and slice into almost anything!
