Okay, I'm the king of adaptive reuse. I brought two of these Super Antenna SW1 SuperWhip Titanium Flex Whip antennas to use with my ham radio and shortwave receivers. Kenwood, 3ICOM. In all cases the radio functioned normally. One night I heard a radio amateur from Israel speaking English but giving his location. Overall the signal was weak, but his words were crystal clear. Remember that your teacher taught you about stored kinetic energy in your science class. Well, this antenna, if not used properly, will teach you a harsh lesson about the dangers of stored kinetic energy. This twisted antenna in a transport configuration is dying to be straight, and when you undo the last plastic retaining clip, the antenna unfolds with blinding speed and momentum. . Take extra care when detaching this antenna from a nap in its packaging. This antenna could easily break and go out of sight if launched carelessly. BE CAREFUL. This is a great antenna but WHEN UNPACKING THIS PRODUCT SHOULD BE CAREFUL!
