Super antennas have outdone themselves once again. This antenna is GREAT for portable use. I use this for my SOTA package.

Looks good and works great.

Fantastic whip that works great getting in and out of my garage. I have it on a quick connector and only gets removed when washing.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • No

Okay, I'm the king of adaptive reuse. I brought two of these Super Antenna SW1 SuperWhip Titanium Flex Whip antennas to use with my ham radio and shortwave receivers. Kenwood, 3ICOM. In all cases the radio functioned normally. One night I heard a radio amateur from Israel speaking English but giving his location. Overall the signal was weak, but his words were crystal clear. At my last ICOM concert I heard a guy from Russia. I have no idea what he said, but damn if I didn't hear it. Again, this

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Titanium Body Part

Firstly, this antenna is the same length as the folding antenna that comes with the MP1 antenna, so should be no different electrically to the original antenna. Safety Issues: The first thing you'll notice is that it's wrapped around cardboard with twine. You have to be very careful (let me repeat that again). It is wound up and potential energy is stored in it. If you don't hold it right, it will go into "ACME" mode (insert "SPROING" and "WOOKA-WOOKA" sound effects here) and will likely hit…

Pros
  • Various Competitors
Cons
  • Operating Speed
