Review on TAKARA INDUSTRY Pet Dog Door for Screens: Ideal for Small/Medium-sized Dogs by Meagan Thompson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I expected better.

I see several of these types of pet screen doors on the market. This is the most expensive. Although I didn't see any of the others after receiving this, I found this product to be a bit overpriced. These are 2 halves of a plastic frame that attaches to a screen door. They give you 8 screws to screw the 2 halves together. Durability really depends on how "gracefully" your pet goes through the hole. Mine is still learning so it bangs on the frame. Sturdy plastic door with tiny holes. The dog (mine is 18lbs) is a bit difficult to push through, especially since there are 2 magnetic strips (bottom right and left corners) that grab it. At the moment I don't have a swing door, so my dog gets used to getting in and out through the opening. . Hopefully once he gets the hang of it I can put the door in and then he'll learn to push the swinging door. I really hope he learns how to open the door because $34 for a plastic frame isn't a good deal (see door and my furball). update; It's November 2017, about 1 1/2 years after my purchase, and I'm updating my rating from 3 to 5 stars. My furball finally learned to walk through the revolving door. It's durable and hasn't loosened over time.
