Both mounting holes are threaded Several users have found that the angled mounting hole on Carlisle brush heads is unthreaded. In January 2020 I ordered 3 different brush head models: 3685314 (blue), 3686700 (natural/brown) and 3686805 (red). All broom heads have both straight and angled mounting holes, WERE tapped and fit standard US handles. I use broom heads 12 feet long, retractable. Aluminum poles, for cleaning rubble from high places. With the new attachments, the threads sit taut and do not come loose at the handle.
