Charming but needs an update

Overall I'm happy with this dollhouse for the price. I'll tell you about the pros and cons that I noticed during assembly. My girls still have to play with it, so I can't comment on durability yet. I plan on coming back to update this once my 2.5 year old twin girls have played a lot. Pros: 1. I was pleasantly surprised that the mounting screws matched the paint color of the area where they were used. liked it VERY much! I'm very attentive to detail and can't remember the last time a manufacturer did this for a toy. Assembly was easy for me as a mother with a manual Phillips screwdriver. At first I thought of using a power drill, but each screw only took about 20 turns of the wrist. Not bad.3. AMAZING - there is no doubt this house is AMAZING and my girls are going to LOVE it for Christmas. It comes with all the furniture pictured and is made from real wood. The real dollhouse is chipboard with a sticker on the surface.4. Good size, not too big and not too small CONS: 1. The tree on the dollhouse is not painted, it is a sticker. I already know this won't last long for my girls. Where the pieces were numbered for assembly (with decals ABOVE the paper, like a decal on a house), the house decal had already peeled off in some places where I had removed the number decals. Not happy with it.2. The stairwells feel very thin and are made of cheap plastic NOT wood.3. The seats of the kitchen chairs are crooked and the glue is visible4. I was annoyed that I couldn't find the dolls that were meant for this house. I even looked for kidcraft dolls and tried to find something suitable but couldn't. I ended up getting a family of wooden dolls from Melissa and Doug. The dolls are still in their packaging and have not been opened but they appear to be the correct size. I will find ways to bypass the sticker covering the entire dollhouse. Maybe a Modpodge on it so it doesn't come off? This requires a coat throughout the house. but it's worth it as I don't foresee that the decoration will last very long indoors while small children play with it. It has to be sealed somehow.
