Review on 🚙 Reese Towpower 7020500 Receiver Adapter - 1-1/4" to 2" - 6" Long: Best Fit for Towing Needs by Devin Henry

My 1 1/4" receiver had a small weld on the inside of the receiver that acted as a stop. I couldn't get this adapter far enough to insert the pin. Reese's support said, that this was done from time to time to ensure the hitch was fully utilized and recommended cutting a small piece off the 1 1/4" end of the adapter so the pin hole was accessible. I did that and the Adapter will now fit IMPORTANT - The 1 1/4" end of the adapter is solid metal and I used my air cutter to cut about 3/4" off the end. Even with an air tool it took a while and I did consumes a cut-off wheel. To make such a cut with a hacksaw will take a very long time. If you decide to make a cut, MEASURE CAREFULLY! And be patient. Thanks to the Rees e Product Support - they gave me the confidence to do this.
