for tough use on tugs and winches

I bought this adapter because most luggage racks require a 2 inch connection. The hitch I bought had a 1 1/4" connection. It fits perfectly. It's very heavy so I'm not worried about it bending or twisting. Used for the first time today, all great

Pros
  • Robust surface
Cons
  • Some problems

Perfect for the job I needed.

I needed to fit a luggage rack for my Polaris RZR. I was afraid this part would create too much space between the RZR and the replacement part, but it's perfect! The replacement beats the RZR by about an inch, and I still have a clear view in my rearview mirror. Ideal!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Problem

BIG WASTE! NOT SUITABLE! A FEW MILLIMETERS TOO UNUSABLE!

Didn't fit! It was a few millimeters longer. The 30 day return period has expired, so just heavy paper weight, no good. Do yourself a favor and buy it from U-Haul, the adapter fits perfectly. Thumbs down for this one! If I could give zero stars I would.

Works well but use with care

I have a lot of 2" accessories for my three trucks and a red farm tractor, I didn't want 1-1/4" sockets for a buy new small car from GF. So use this adapter. But even with Bet #12,000 you are still limited to the vehicle. Her towing is rated at #1,250 but I looked at the bracket for her Subaru hitch and (in my opinion) I would go well under #1,000 for safety reasons.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Easy maintenance

Doesn't fit my hitch

Good quality adapter. The reason for the 2 stars is that it hits the back of my hitch before the pin holes line up so I can't get the pin to break it. Update: I found out it was made for a class 2 hitch and mine is a class 1. I don't remember it in the Revain ad. Since I only use it to haul junk outside, I am definitely modifying it to make it work and will never use it for anything else.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Useless features

Aesthetically it would be better if removed from the car

The only complaint is that this adapter is a little long and sticks out too far from my car. I have a 2013 Ford, see Max Energy. However, I don't think there are many options for the type of hitch I bought. In general I have no complaints. It serves its purpose. However, if I don't have a bike rack, I should probably just remove the hitch extension. Aesthetically it would be better to remove it from the car.

which I was told would fit on a bike rack

My van has a 1 1/4 inch hitch that I was told would fit on a bike rack. Obviously many heavier bike racks that can hold 4 or more bikes are designed for 2 inch hitches. However, it's okay. I bought this adapter and was pleasantly surprised at how HEAVY it is. It attaches perfectly to the hitch and bike rack and allows me to use things that wouldn't otherwise fit on my hitch. I was also pleasantly surprised that Revain was slightly cheaper than a few other places I checked. However, this will…

Well done - had to be cut. Good product support.

My 1 1/4" receiver had a small weld on the inside of the receiver that acted as a stop. I couldn't get this adapter far enough to insert the pin. Reese's support said, that this was done from time to time to ensure the hitch was fully utilized and recommended cutting a small piece off the 1 1/4" end of the adapter so the pin hole was accessible. I did that and the Adapter will now fit IMPORTANT - The 1 1/4" end of the adapter is solid metal and I used my air cutter to cut about 3/4" off the…
