I bought these magical garlands to string along the fence in my garden to give it a border of sorts. I didn't want to run through a bunch of extension cords, so I opted for a solar panel. When they arrived I wasn't sure I would get what I needed as they seemed so small but I figured what the heck if I didn't like them I can always return them. I started by securing them to the top of the fence with a construction stapler and then went over a short length of the lanterns and added more staples, finally I got to the end of the fence, installed the solar panel and selected the pattern I wanted that was durable, on all the time, and while I have to say I love looking at them in the backyard, I was pleasantly surprised at how long they stay on. I know people use them in glasses and many other things and I hope they will hold up even though it doesn't rain much where I live. If you install them, like me, be very careful as they are very thin, but no need to worry about getting electrocuted!
