In general, worthy tires for this money; I purchased 235/60R18 for 7000 pieces two years ago and they are still going strong. In comparison to the Dunlop SP 270, these are significantly more comfortable. Furthermore, while the Danlop SP 270 wore out after 50,000 miles to the cord, I drove 30,000 miles on them before they showed any signs of wear. As for the noise, it's not the rubber that causes the noise; rather, it's the stones that get stuck in the tread and then fly out of there at high speed. Since this doesn't happen to all of the stones, we ride on the "stone spikes" that provide the rumbling.
