Review on Review and specifications of the Fujinon XF56mmF1.2 R lens by Iyan Iyan ᠌

I can't stop being happy with the purchase, a very good deal!

I use with X-t2 camera. One of the best and fastest lenses for the fuji system. A very good drawing, you can shoot almost everything in a row and you will get good cards. It is better to avoid close-ups on slightly photogenic faces. For perspective distortions, unlike 90 2.0, are present here, especially at a portrait shooting distance of less than 2 meters. This is not to say that this is a drawback, but rather a feature of this tool. Perhaps for the aperture of 1.2 and the equivalent focal length of 85mm, this compact (compared to 50 1.0) lens can be forgiven for everything. Of the unequivocal pluses, I can note a very beautiful and atmospheric volume that the lens creates in almost any plot. Definitely better than 35mm 1.4, and I also note that for its price in comparison with the recently released 50mm 1.0, there are no alternatives. Of the shortcomings: - Prone to focus yaw in the absence of a contrasting object at dusk and under artificial lighting / low light, but this is more a camera issue, since according to the assurances of the owners of newer x-t3 / 4 camera models, there is no or almost no such problem. - Structurally solid, but the diaphragm ring could be made tighter. Often during the shooting I touch, then after 2-3 frames I pay attention that I accidentally shifted from 1.2 to 1.4, ... 1.6 and sometimes even 2.0. What is not in the 90mm 2.0 model. Everything is tight with distinct clicks - I repeat ... Fifty dollars is a fifty dollars. If you don’t want to get big noses in large portraits, move back 2-3 meters and shoot lower with a slightly or longer focal length lens. Still, there are perspective distortions in the proportions of the face, so the lens is suitable for shooting waist-length and full-length portraits. On the other hand, if the model is photogenic, you can play around with the angles and shoot close enough. In general, this is more of a quibble. For close-ups I use 90mm 2.0 Definitely recommend to purchase if this focal length suits your needs and tasks! I am attaching photos.

Overall, Any full frame with the same data will cost over 100, and at the same time, a sharp picture will start from 1.4-1.8 I recommend
