Worth every penny! - Kitchen and dining room

So far so great. I bought these after realizing that almost ALL earthenware, crockery and porcelain utensils are made with lead and lead can and will be released into your food to some extent. This was right after I received the beautiful intricate set (Temptations floral lace in navy blue, for those of you who are in the know) so I was very disappointed. All products sold in the US (including imported ones) must meet FDA guidelines for lead content, but still. I would prefer my son's food to be free of toxic chemicals in any quantity, thanks. , the glass just looked so simple in comparison. I looked at a number of brands and many people said they break or tear easily, drip, pour hot liquid etc. Then I found these. I was hesitant because they were a lot more expensive but I chose 6 in Lys 6 3/4" stackable bowls, Lys 9 1/4" plates and Cozy 12 oz coffee mugs to start with because I figured that it wasn't that much. . Investment. God I'm glad I did! I can't say much about durability yet, but durability, damn it! On night #1, doing my first wash, I dropped the plate in the stainless steel sink, winced, but didn't realize it was broken or cracked. Good to go! Then I realized that if it was a china sink, maybe it was toast. We've been using the cookware for about a week now and due to my clumsiness in making coffee with a Melita Dripper, two cups fell off our stovetop. Countertop on our ceramic tile floor. They both fell to the ground, rattling together and not breaking or tearing! i am sold In addition, the dialing comfort is actually quite pleasant. This allows your coffee or food to take center stage, which to my great surprise is more enjoyable. They are also much easier to clean than the complicated bulge sets. I'll stop whipping now, I was so impressed with the jugs' survival! Buy it! They cost extra $$!
