I ordered it after reading the negative reviews and I am very happy about it. I ordered the color "beige"; which doesn't make it fair. This is a beautiful satin light gold. I use this scarf in a variety of ways with sweater layers. It's lightweight but heavy enough to keep your neck warm in "cooler" temperatures or as a lightweight wrap. Many people say that you have to wrap, tie and shape. Regarding the negative reviews: I believe this is partly due to the product description containing the word "Winter". This isn't the kind of scarf you wear with a winter coat and expect it to be warm like cashmere etc. It might help to drop that word from the wording. I measured my scarf according to my height; it appears to be closer to 5 feet long, plus the fringes. I mention this because some buyers have expressed disappointment with the length. It may be helpful to update your copy of this product. As for the texture; this is an inexpensive scarf; for the price I find it very silky smooth and relatively soft; again this is not cashmere guys i will be buying additional colors.
