I bought two of these to use with my aussies. I buckle them in the back seat for safety. With just a few wears, my 44lb Aussie snapped the buckle while in the house getting ready to go. I can't imagine if we were driving and an there was an impact. There is no way this would protect him at all. The second one broke on the adjustment slider soon after. I suggest looking for one with metal hardware for adjustments and clasps (just watch for lead!).**One of the vendors I purchased this from reached out to me and issued a full refund.
