Review on πŸ”Š B-Tech BT77 Ultragrip Pro Speaker Mount - Set of 2, Side Clamp with Tilt and Swivel - Black: Enhancing SEO by Stephen Thomas

Good mounting brackets but too expensive

Bought these to wall mount a pair of 8lb Polk Audio (surround sound) speakers. They're pretty easy to install if you have the right tools - nail finder, drill/screwdriver, good screws. You definitely want to mount the backplate on a stud. The screws that come with it are not that good. I could use them - almost - without removing my head. I recommend going to a hardware store to get better quality screws. I installed the speakers without tilting them down, so I can't comment on the stability of this type of mount, but each speaker looks "stuck" on the mount after I tighten the side clamps. I recommend wall mounts like this for speakers. weighing over 3 pounds. Small satellite mounts can't support anything heavier, although they claim they can. Interestingly, however, VideoSecu's sidemount wall mounts are almost identical in construction and only cost half as much. The only difference is that their backplate has a 3 screw mount instead of 4 like here and their wood screws are even worse than the Roceclo screws but I would recommend them for better value for money.

Pros
  • ADJUSTABLE: The clamp fits speaker widths from 135mm (5.3") to 280mm (11").
Cons
  • Some bugs
