I did a lot of research before deciding on these mounts and am glad I did. You are really strong. I installed my Klipsch RP-160Ms on it as surround back speakers. They're pretty heavy, 22 pounds I think. I was concerned that with all the bass I thump from a 15" subwoofer, some cheap mounts might fail. I don't think they will be a problem. Pros: The metal arm that attaches to the wall is solid and the side clamp arms are also metal and feel solid. You should have ditched the Philips/Flathead hybrid screws and just used the deep Philips head. Luckily I have a lot of screws at home. You are terrible. There is no way to secure it, they must include double sided tape or something else so I left them for now, might pick up a sticky velcro to secure them on the go but for now they just hang in place. Bought these to wall mount a pair of 8lb Polk Audio (surround sound) speakers. They're pretty easy to install if you have the right tools - nail finder, drill/screwdriver, good screws. You definitely want to mount the backplate on a stud. The screws that come with it are not that good. I could use them - almost - without removing my head.
