Yeah I really didn't want to pay like $30 a roll for a roll but hey if you're going to spend $60 a roll on Eternabond (I bought 2 rolls for a total of $120) then you should just bite the bullet and buy it. I've seen one or two other common options, but didn't want to deal with any drama if they don't work properly. I like that the roller has a rounded side and a 90 degree side. It has proven useful in use. The 90 degree edge could get into tight spots, e.g. going over the trim etc. It worked as advertised and was a lot quicker than trying to smooth it out and (hard) push it out of my hands. HOW.
