Review on πŸ” Enhancing Transmission Capability: Optical Converter Bi Directional Repeater ROOFULL by Jerimiah Augustine

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Allows an optical or coaxial output to feed an optical or coaxial input.

If you have a fairly sophisticated home theater system, you may find that the AV receiver's digital output options and input options are not exactly the same. This box converts optical cables to coaxial in all directions. It requires a mains plug (5V) and space to operate as it needs some ventilation (like the whole system when in a closet) but it is lightweight and can be positioned with velcro on the side of the closet. FYI, your TV's optical output is usually stereo only, as most TVs downconvert the 5.1 signal, to match it to your speaker configuration. It would be much better to use a second HDMI from your Blu-ray player to connect to the receiver. If this is not possible, output digital audio from the Blu-ray player. The converter can correct any inconsistencies here. If your disc player doesn't have either, you can route your main HDMI through your AV receiver and then through your TV to allow the receiver to play 5.1 audio. If your system is very simple, please ignore the above. so that the receiver can play 5.1 sound. If your system is very simple, please ignore the above. so that the receiver can play 5.1 sound.
