We have a Tivo Bolt in a location with a coax connection and no ethernet connection. Tivo connects to an outdoor antenna to receive and record free-to-air HD broadcast content. Separately, we use Comcast for high speed internet. However, since the CATV signal is not compatible with the HDTV antenna signal, we had an internet connection problem for Tivo. As mentioned in more detail in other reviews, this device can be used to filter the CATV signal and combine the MOCA and antenna signals, allowing your Tivo to receive internet services over coaxial cable as well as over-the-air HDTV. The MOCA adapter next to the coaxial modem is used to transmit the MOCA signal over the coaxial cables. We use this duplexer along with several different MOCA compatible Holland splitters on our coax network.
