Heat guns are rarely used but when I need them I don't have them. So when I broke the screen on my old MacBook Pro, it was cheaper to buy new glass and this heat gun and do it yourself. This heat gun works. I used a low setting to gently loosen the adhesive without damaging the electronics. Of course, now that I have it, uses keep popping up! I installed an outdoor security light and used crimp connectors and heat shrink instead of wire nuts to make it waterproof. The 4Ah battery lasts a long time (I have a Worksite cordless sprayer that comes with a 2Ah battery and lasts over an hour of continuous use which amazed me) and the wireless connection was critical when climbing stairs , not to mention securing cables under the hood or dash in a truck. The automatic shutdown surprised me at first, but it makes sense. In short, I love the gun (and the atomizer) and love the fact that the batteries are interchangeable in both.
