Got these to replace my old smart doorbell (from MI). After a few days of use I was impressed with how well this new one works. Installation was easy and smooth, it comes with a secure mount that had to be screwed on, but I only used 3M double sided tape, works well. It also has a base that stays in the house and talks to the camera, I think it works like storage. I don't see any external storage slot but support said it has 8GB of storage to shoot and can record over 2 months of footage? If that's true, then it must be good for me. The app I used on my phone is pretty intuitive and easy to set up. The best feature I like is the motion detection, very accurate, records every movement in front of my door, much better than the old one, I won't miss a single packet anymore :). My only complaint at the moment is that for some reason I can't upload footage directly from storage, I have to use their video recording feature, that's fine, but it takes longer than uploading directly. I don't know why, it seems their cloud save has direct download, maybe they will fix it in a later update. It looks like the battery can also last a lot longer than the old one, I'll update later after using it in winter, it's cold here, we'll see. Overall I'm very happy with the performance of this product, I'll update later if I find anything.
