Review on 🌬️ LEVOIT Baby Bedroom Humidifier: Top Fill Cool Mist for Kids Nursery with Smart Sensor, Essential Oil Compatibility, Ultra Quiet Operation - 1.8L, White by Tracy Green

I really wanted to love this stylish mini humidifier. but the love affair ended badly after 1 month of use. PROS: Easy to fill, very quiet, night mode is great. CONS: Imperfect fog tube design leads to a cleaning nightmare. Small tank size. The main problem is a series of design flaws: too many tiny nooks and crannies on fragile parts that are VERY difficult to clean, but absolutely necessary to keep clean. and these stains are not mentioned in the cleaning instructions. (See photo) The water chamber itself is very easy to fill and clean. This piece has a 5 star design. The base unit (with ultrasonic transducer disc) is also quite easy to clean. but you must follow the instructions. The big problem is a very sensitive part called the fog tube. The manual describes how to remove it from the tank, then "rinse all parts and wipe dry with a rag". But even after light use, many areas of the mist tube can develop the characteristic "pink bacterial film" found on most humidifiers. However, soaking or rinsing the entire part is not enough. Another small piece is attached to the inside of the tank with tiny plastic tabs. the first time it was disassembled for cleaning (not described in the instructions) one of the tongues broke off. (Levoit was great at customer service and sent me a new fog tube assembly straight away.) After removing this part very carefully, try cleaning the small grilles with a very small brush (Q-tip won't help). . Don't do this.) Also, there are areas at the other end of the smoke tube itself that cannot be reached, although they can collect "pink film" as well. There is a tiny screw on the small outlet end of the fog tube that holds the inner damper. clearly not intended to be deleted by the user. but i had to do this to delete it. I then had to use another specialty brush to clean the inside. Finally, there's a spot on the underside of the tank where the tip of the fog tube connects, and I've just discovered that slime can build up in there too. To do this I needed a number 3 brush, a long thin one that I had on hand for cleaning straws. There are 3 special brushes and a lot of time. I should mention that I only used this device for about 8-10 hours at night. then every day I emptied and washed all the parts and soaked in vinegar every third day. and the pink film is still developing fairly quickly. I like the overall design of the Levoit humidifiers and some of the other models may be easier to clean. They tried to do something new with this promising model, but I think it needs serious revision and testing to bring better end-user results. Note.
