Bringing our old Wii back to life

One of the two controllers that came with our Wii that we bought in 2005 started vibrating and didn't stop until you removed the batteries . We can put in new batteries, and we usually need to put in new batteries the same day. I don't know if they became final in the last year. We decided to take a risk by buying third party Wii motion controllers. this is definitely the way to go. In addition to the fact that these licensed remotes actually work consistently and never break, Nintendo has made some nice improvements over the original Wii remotes to make non-Wii remotes work as well or better than the originals. The batteries last for hours (although I still recommend getting rechargeable batteries). The sync button is now on the outside of the remote, so you don't have to remove the back to sync it. The handles now have these little grooves which makes them very comfortable to hold.

Pros
  • A handy thing
Cons
  • So far so good
