Review on Versatile Matte Black GPS Dash Mount: Garmin, Tomtom, Magellan, Rand McNally, Navman, & Cell Phone - Non-Slip Dashboard Holder for Satnav by Rico Dantzler

Looks like a good quality device

I installed a GPS mount on the dash tonight 8/23/19 after some testing to see where the best spot on the dash would be could. Love the feature that allows the mount to stay closed and unobtrusive when I'm not using GPS to navigate. My car is a 2013 Nissan Frontier King Cab S with a 2.5 liter engine. I have a smartphone but I prefer to use a Garmin Nuvi for navigation so this mount should be great. Only time will tell if it's up to the task. The car is in a garage, so the sun's rays should not heat up the device and lead to premature wear of the mounting surfaces. Replacement patches for 3M fasteners can be ordered through Revain.com, so it's a good deal. The GPS fits snugly and securely in the mount which is excellent. I expect this device to be reliable and can be used for a long time. The price was good and the clamping/holding power is impressive. And the low profile is great for visibility around town. I think it was a great purchase and for now I recommend it to everyone who uses a GPS box or smartphone navigation boxes to install on the dashboard.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • poorly thought out
