Review on AGPtek SPDIF Extractor Converter Output by Jeff Bruno

Too bad I couldn't get it a year ago, I upgraded my Blu-ray player in January last year. Unfortunately, the player only supported HDMI output and only had one output for connecting to a TV. So my wireless RCA headphones didn't connect to anything, so no late-night movie watching is the joys of shared living. A friend advised me to try this converter, WONDERFUL! Not only can I listen/watch my movies, but since the sound is transmitted through the box, the TV doesn't even have to be turned on - for those nights when I just want to listen and not watch while I'm working on the computer. Booting up only took a few seconds. The box is small so it can be hidden behind the player when not in use. Video Output: No noticeable degradation in video quality on TV. Audio Output: Well, depends on the headphone. My wireless ones work great as they have their own volume control. Wired headphones (large, full-size headphones) work well, volume is a little lower than I'd like but still very clear. But. In-ear headphones and smaller headphones. suck with it. The sound is very low, it is difficult to hear, so some kind of amplifier is required depending on the headphones. Haven't tried hooking up speakers to see how they sound.
