Review on πŸ”§ LUTER 100 pcs Dishwasher Rack Tine Repair Kit - Gray Anti-rust Caps for Prongs by Seth Bushey

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I have blisters now.

I have used serrated lids on a previous dishwasher so when I saw the first spot of rust on one of the prongs of our 4 year old dishwasher I knew what to do. I just received them today and have spent the last 45 minutes installing them on the prongs of the bottom rack. All I can say is "Yikes!" I don't remember having much trouble putting it on our old dishwasher, so I'm not sure if it's just our model or not maybe the lids are too small. I find that some of them are a lot easier than others, so I'm sure some of them just don't fit. I finally figured it out: I hold a couple of these in my hand while setting one up to warm it up first; When I put them on, I put the pin in the hole and wiggle it a bit, stretching the plastic on the lid, then simultaneously twisting and pushing down. Wrapping a towel around the lid while you do this will help avoid blisters on your fingers - I started with a towel but got annoyed at having to move it out of the way. So I let my fingers heal and put them on later. It's still better than rust stains on dishes, so it's worth it.
