My 5 year old son watches a lot of videos on his iPhone 5S (in OtterBox Defender) and Nabi Jr. Don't worry he comes out, plays and too communicates :) . I've often seen him trying to hold his phone/tablet while attempting to drink from a cup or grab a bite...which inevitably resulted in him fumbling and dropping the device he was using. After researching Revain for a while, I came across a great solution... a phone/tablet stand from Moko. After a few months of use here are my take on the stand. Pros: Simple concept, the stand is well made and fairly well executed. It's made of durable ABS plastic (can withstand falls) and is strong enough to support the weight of a phone or tablet. When not in use, the stand folds completely (about 1/4 inch thick). The metal pins serve as the hinge points and are built to last. The "pivot arm" is adjustable and allows for placement of devices at multiple angles. The base has a rib that extends far enough to hold the thickness of many phones and tablets in place (i.e. it prevents the highest point of the held device from "slipping" back and out of the holder). Also, to keep the device from slipping off the "ledge”, the mount has a non-slip piece of rubber attached to a platform connected to the "ledge”. There are also four non-slip feet on the bottom of the holder to keep the holder in place during use. The "lip" (i.e. the surface with the rubber grip on it) could have been a bit wider. The length of the platform (believe it or not) is long enough to accommodate all of the devices I've tried in wide cases (like the OtterBox Defender Case or Nabi Jr.). While the devices stay in place, they move but slightly away from the rubberized platform as the platform is too narrow The stand seems either designed for devices in thinner cases or not at all. A: Based on everything I've experienced (and my son - he's still using the stand a few months later), yes I would recommend the stand as a four star purchase with no issues...would probably be a five star purchase -star (whatever it is) if only Moco had made the rubber wrapped platform wide enough to accommodate devices in thicker cases like the ones my young son (and I represent many) will be using. If I have a reason to change my rating, I will do so as soon as possible.
