Review on EMART T-Shape Portable Background Backdrop Support Stand Kit 5ftx8.5ft Adjustable Photo Backdrop Stand with 4 Spring Clamps by Brad Blake

Too shaky and therefore unprofessional

We have a video conference for which we bought the scenery. This product had good reviews and was very economical which is why we started here. In addition to the low cost, another advantage is the ease of installation. The vertical arm extends so you don't have to worry about missing or losing parts. And the tripod base can be positioned with a smaller base circumference to take up less floor space. Another plus: This company offers you FOUR (not two or three) background clips. Our backdrop is only five feet wide, but we need all four brackets to keep it from sagging at the top. We can't imagine getting by with just two or three clips. The clips are pretty strong too. They hold light fabric (cotton) backdrops with ease, so there shouldn't be a problem holding paper or flimsy vinyl. But many other reviews of similar products mention the major disadvantage of the single tripod system - rotational instability. The slightest breeze (inside) makes our background vibrate. This is visible to our viewers (already verified) and therefore very unprofessional. Also, depending on the height of your display (we have 8ft) it can be obvious if the top bar is not square (parallel to the ground) and further ruin the professionalism of your display. Since yesterday we have been trying unsuccessfully to level the top bar. But as soon as we level it with the ground because the post rotates, even thinking we've secured the locknuts, the whole system fails again. While we appreciate the price of this background system, it just doesn't work for us. We don't have a lot of space, but we think TWO tripod systems with background holders on top and sides would be much more stable, and the stability adds to the professionalism. Unfortunately we think we will bring this system back to Revain.
