Review on 🐠 Betta Fish Tank: 2 Gallon Glass Aquarium with Filter and Light - Ideal for Betta Fish, Shrimp, Goldfish - Desktop Small Fish Tank (White) by Tracy Mckeithen

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Decent beginner tank with accessories, loud heavy duty filter

This is a two gallon tank (there was some confusion with the original list) and it comes with (almost) everything a beginner needs Set up required table aquarium: filter, filter material, light. The one I received was in perfect condition - no scratches or damage, looked good enough for a cheap tank. The assembly instructions for the filter were fairly easy, although it's a little tricky to squeeze into the tank and the wires are a little tricky to squeeze into the slot behind the lid. But the rest of the facility was fine. However, there are several problems with it: 1. The filter is VERY efficient, at least for bettas. Yes it is possible to control the air intake (which controls the exit of the bubbles) but the flow generated by the filter is too strong and I didn't see a way to control it. With chicken inside, it was blown all over the aquarium. I actually used a different piece of tubing and completely redirected the water outlet.2. The filter is really loud. It's louder than what I have on my 20 gallon tank.3. I want to be able to remove the cover. It flips over, but as I was working in the tank, it kept tipping back onto my hands.4. I wish the cables were a little longer. I have the tank on the table and they barely reach the floor, straight down, which means I have to put the extender on the floor (or on the table) right under the tank. The biggest problem with this is the filter. Does it affect usage? No, I have a workaround. And it's a nice inexpensive aquarium for beginners. But if you want something super easy specifically for Betta, you can see what else is available.
