These are great sliders and we've tried them all. We tend to use them as protection under our feet all the time rather than to carry them temporarily. These round sliders fit under the washer/dryer on a vinyl/wood floor. They have a black foam pad with a brown felt covering, approximately 3.5" in diameter and approximately 5/8" thick. The black foam is strong enough to hold appliances on the pillow when I put the washer/dryer in place. And I don't think your feet will dig into the foam as much as with other sliders. The good thing is that they don't peel or stick like the previous ones that stuck a lot to the legs of the device and picked up dirt since most of it was exposed.
