Review on Maxshine ShineMaster Refurbished Polisher Backing by Trey Harvey

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I love it. Feels like my rupes but works better.

I like it. I'm a detail pro and own Rupes 15, Flex, Porter Cable and Torq. It looks like a half price Rupes clone so I said why not. It's solidly built. PROS: It's quiet and we make up for it. Feels good in the hands. Best of all, it does NOT get hot like my rupes! It doesn't vibrate! So that your hands don't go numb after a long day at work. The speeds are okay. Well packed. The best guarantee. Attached are some photos of the results. The 15mm hub saves time and the power of the device does all the work once you get the right pads and products. CONS: Speed dial numbers have already been deleted. Even with the Washer mod enabled, it's still very close to the Shroud but doesn't affect it too much. He came with too much fat on his plate. My biggest complaint is with the backplate. It's not 5 inches but just over 4.5 inches. The board is also very hard. I'd love to see a real 5" flex plate on it. The unit also starts up at high speed no matter what speed you set the controller to. It slows down after a few turns. Overall I'd recommend it! or the hobbyist can speed it up too his rig to do correction or improvement work. If it had a 5" flexible plate, it would stop less or not at all on hills and contours. Maybe MaxShine will consider developing it in the future. Video coming soon. Buy this device!
