Review on The Classic Charm of Signature Design by Ashley Heron Ridge Distressed Accent Bench with Storage in Antique White by Jim Bijelic

I have collected dozens of Chinese-made furniture (I have four children who lived in different conditions). My husband used to live on half-timbered houses. We both spent 2 hours screwing in 8 screws, inserting the bottom plate and attaching 2 chains (horrible design). The first problem was that they were already trying to assemble it. The packaging showed that it had been re-taped and re-shipped. I didn't even have to open it. The second problem was that one of the grooves where you had to insert the bottom plate was too small. Finally we got a rubber mallet and adjusted it. It took forever to tighten the screws with the included small hex wrench because you couldn't assemble them in the right order as the bottom panel had to go in first. When you attached the chains, the tiny screws were too long and punched holes in the bench's seat. Somehow some of the packaging stuck to the seat leaving a stain on the top of the seat. I carefully scraped off everything I could with a razor blade. My advice: DO NOT BUY THIS BAD EXCUSE FOR A BANK. It's supposed to be a present for an old friend.
