sadness forever! Of course that doesn't last forever.

I knocked over this Kuhn Rikon coffee grinder and it took a long fall from a high shelf before I smashed it on the hard bamboo floor. So I'm here to order another one. Mine was THREE years old. It was actively used EVERY day. It worked flawlessly for almost 1095 days. It has fallen on the wooden floor more times than I can remember. After one of those hard falls, the little door collapsed. It took some effort to put it back in place. After that it was much harder to fill, but she continued to crunch for many months. For about $5.50 a year, this little grinder animal did a great job of grinding my coarse Himalayan sea salt. Of course, this will NOT last forever. No sane person can expect that. For such a grinder you will have to pay 10 times as much. Even if there is, it will be heavy gauge stainless steel and probably not as easy to fill as this one. I gave away my old expensive beautiful wooden pepper mill after using it for the first time. I bought a lot for gifts. It's plastic with the always ingenious Kuhn Rikon design. I am happy with all the Kuhn Rikon kitchenware that I have. I only plan on changing them every few years.
