Hop and Pop with Sram Red 22 drivetrain

I've been using Wipperman Connex chains for the last 9 years with about 20,000 miles on a 10 speed cassette with no problems. I just updated my bike with all new components (new wheels, cassette, derailleur, cranks and bottom bracket). New SRAM Red 22 system with 11-speed cassette. I bought this new 11 speed Wipperman Connex chain thinking it would work well as the 10 speed version worked so well with my previous 10 speed SRAM Red drive train. I was wrong. This 11-speed chain is noisy, and will jump and pop at the extremes of drivetrain lean just after being installed into a new drivetrain. I immediately changed the chain to a SRAM Red 22 PC chain without further tuning the bike and all the noise and jumps were gone immediately. My guess is that the Wipperman Connex 11-speed chain is actually incompatible with the new SRAM Red 22 drivetrain. By the way, I made sure that the main Wipperman Connex link was not turned upside down for this test. I will most likely be using a SRAM Red 22 PC chainring with a Wipperman Connex main link as this combination has not resulted in any issues.
