Anyone who has lived in Africa knows all too well about unstable electricity. I bought these lights as a little emergency solution when the lights go out at night on vacation. There is a lot of sunlight, so it's ideal for charging. I have yet to fully drain all energy and fully charge it with the included solar panels, but I plugged it in for a few minutes and it worked. Customer service also seems great. They contacted me to make sure nothing was missing from my orders and responded to my email earlier than expected. I'd say at this price give it a try it's worth it.
