Review on YONGNUO YN660 Speedlite: Versatile Wireless Manual Flash with GN66 Power for Canon Nikon Pentax Olympus by Samuel Kromah

I bought one of these. I've used it for several shoots and by day 3 I noticed a burning smell. In fact, he lit my gel and melted the plastic that was blocking the light. It also makes a much louder popping noise than usual. The burning smell every time you use a flash is not good so I returned it and bought another one (same model). A new one has arrived. I brought it to my shoot. After 20 flashes, misfires began. only shoots 1/5 times. After 3 (eventually) successful images, it just stopped working. Period. It doesn't even blink when I press the test button. I have a colleague who bought THREE units of the same model and had to return them all because they stopped working. We're both 0 to 5. We're changing brands now. I've used other Yongnuo with some success, but I strongly recommend avoiding this model.
