We bought some plates as plates and other Coelle plates as salad and dessert plates. The plates are a bit prettier and stronger, but they cannot be microwaved for more than a few minutes or the food will stain the plate. Dishes are better than plates, but you still have to be careful. I really like plates and they are a much better size than plates for things like steak or fish.
