Review on Optimized Air Gap International AG150 001 by Chef Buntiloy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for my water softener drain

The water softener drain must have an air gap if it is routed to a sewer line or floor drain. Since my softener's maximum drain rate is only 2.2 GPM, this air gap worked perfectly with a 3/4 inch humidifier tee drain leading to a floor drain. Due to the location of the drain in the floor, I chose to use the built-in gap instead of just keeping the drain line off the floor. Note that you have to be careful (I should have known better) when using the wrench on the Bottom of the device to tighten the connection at the top. I got an internal tear that was fine at first when I checked the release of the fabric softener, but then leaked when the fabric softener was recycled overnight.
