I read about this incident where the iPad Pro screen was scratched. I found a solution that works for me because I like this keyboard case the most. 1/2 inch maximum. This will loosen the magnetic catch a bit from 1/16", but not as much if you are using a thin bumper like 1/32". I placed three of these bumpers on the metal area where my palm would rest. when typing: one on each side, one in the middle, which prevents the metal surface and the screen from touching, even when you press hard on the case (whether with your hand or in your backpack). doesn't rub the screen if you only use it on a table or bed at home, it most likely rubs when it's in a backpack or bag filled with other things, it presses on the body, it doesn't bother me at all when I guess. I have an iPad Pro 2nd Gen 12.9". I bought this case because I knew it would be different. Logitech said they don't plan to release an updated version of CREATE at the moment. I like their slim combo doesn't so like i can't use it comfortably on my lap i hope one day they will come but for now i just got this case because it was my favorite of all i tried. I will do some DIY modifications to it. I have a separate strap for my Apple Pencil. I tried the Brydge case and found the strap wasn't strong enough when using it on my lap. Also, the iPad itself has no protective case and I personally prefer to put it in something even if it's thin plastic.
