This device is ready to use. I connected it to a Poe router and it turned on the IP address with no problems. I need to download the manual but I didn't need it. I've used PTZ controllers in the past and they all basically work the same. I gave 4 stars because it's great but not perfect. I particularly like that there is a power switch to turn it off when not in use. Some controllers, such as B. PTZOptics, have no switch and must be disabled. PTZ speed controls, as well as iris and focus controls, work flawlessly. These settings usually need to be changed by logging into the camera or using the OSD menu. You can move in any direction with the joystick. This allows you to pan and tilt at the same time. PROS: Easy to set up. POE and included power supply. RS 232/485/422 zoom rocker and joystick zoom. via the web interface and directly on the controller. The joystick is very precise and moves smoothly. CONS: The buttons are rubber. Call presets require you to press the call button, then the preset number, and then press enter. Too many keystrokes. PTZ Speed Dial affects all cameras.
