Love it! Great for a single person

Outdoor roast was perfect for a single. I can prepare small portions quickly and easily without making a lot of mess. Just a quick clarification: air frying is not deep frying; cooks in a tiny convection oven. I've been using it for about two months, there are no complaints and a lot of praise. Why I chose this model: - Price. One of the cheapest versions I've found and didn't want to spend a lot of money on a cooking method I haven't tried. - Square cooking basket. More food can be placed on the floor than in a round basket (2 meatballs, etc.) - perforated sheet metal instead of wire mesh. The perforated metal of this fryer is very easy to clean, similar to cleaning a traditional non-stick saucepan or pan. I have a copper wire fruit bowl and I NEVER use it because it's very difficult to clean, especially after baking hamburger patties. Don't buy a fryer with a wire mesh basket - use one made of perforated metal. Simple control. Set the temperature and time and click Start. The cooking basket measures approximately 7 x 7 x 3 inches. The temperature range is 100-400Β°F in 10 degree increments. The timer range is 1-60 minutes in 1 minute increments. The exhaust fan is a bit noisy when cooking, but not too loud. It's loud enough to hear from another room. I read another review mentioning a possible problem with the exhaust heat on the back of the fryer and it bothered me so measured exhaust temperature with an infrared sensor. The maximum I got was 185Β°F at the outlet surface and not pointing directly into the outlet port. The manual says the exhaust should be at least five inches from any surface, so to be on the safe side, pull mine out and turn it sideways on the table when using it, especially if you're doing long cooks. So far I've made LOTS of hot dogs, hamburger patties, sliced spam, baked potatoes, bacon, cookies, buns, frozen and fresh french fries, Tator tots, and frozen pizzas. Everything turns out great except for the frozen fries. I don't think frozen fries ever turn out good unless they're fried in oil - it's the oil that adds flavor. The fresh fries from the fryer turned out great. Hot dogs are way too easy to make with this thing, which is why I've eaten more hot dogs in the last two months than I have in the last ten years. If you come home hungry and want something quick, toss two buns in the air fryer at 390F for a minute or two to brown them while you slash or pierce some dogs. Once the buns are warm, toss the hot dogs at 390Β°F for 6 minutes while adding the seasoning to the buns. Convenience food. Use a paper towel to wipe down the basket and bottom of the fryer. The cut spam was a pleasant surprise. I cut a can of Spam with a cheese cutter, place a layer of slices on the bottom of the basket and cook at 360F for 7 minutes and they are perfect. Use sheets of parchment for raw dough like cookies. I bought a set of 100 square pieces perfect for this air fryer https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07X3FWFQ6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Although my menu is limited so far there is Thousands of recipes and videos online about air frying that I will one day use to expand my culinary horizons. Just a tip to watch the fryer video, if it's longer than 4-5 minutes it's mostly non-informative talk. The best last 2-3 minutes. Food manufacturers have finally joined the air fryers and are releasing air fryer instructions for their products. Pillsbury and Screamin' Sicilian Pizza have specific air frying instructions on their websites. I also found books on air roasts at my local library. A general starter guideline for frozen food: reduce either the time by 25% or the temperature by 25Β° (not both). Fryer kit on Revain https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XHR28Z9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . The frying pan was too big for this fryer and some parts started to rust after the first wash. I had to use the special Cosori kit https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LCW5S2H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which was more expensive. I have not tried any Cosori accessories other than to make sure it fits. In the end I would recommend this product. At this price I wouldn't mind if it only lasted a few years before needing replacement (but I haven't seen any signs of excessive wear yet).
