Even though my kitchen doesn't have a southern border I couldn't resist these towels that make me smile. Made from 100% cotton with a slightly heavier weave than the linen towels I have used most of my life. It is in order. The two tassel towels have plastic coated tassels to keep them straight. I had to take them off to throw them in the washing machine. The tassels stretch out and don't look quite as neat when they come out of the dryer as they did when they arrived, but they still look cute hanging there. The third towel has a colorful chili pattern. I use kitchen towels for many things including covering bread as it rises, lining proofing baskets, placing large items like pots, pans and large bowls on top after I've washed them. I may even use one to dry my hands occasionally, but I was taught that only terry cloth kitchen towels are used to dry hands. I'm an adult but I still feel a little guilty if I use the wrong towel. I would definitely buy this.
