Tough Reliable Lens

Having used this lens quite extensively over the past 4 months I can say I still like it. I wouldn't call it trendy. It just works. every time At 50mm equivalent, I don't miss image stabilization at all. The focus ring is as smooth as handmade butter. The optical quality is very good, although I will admit that there is some green-purple chromatic aberration around very contrasting lines, but modern software (Lightroom in my case) handles it just fine. I only shoot raw, so that's just part of the processing with this lens. (Luckily the Panasonic lens correction is done automatically in LR.) I also have a 14-140mm f/3.5 lens, but I only use it for panoramic and street photography anymore, although I've started using this 25mm -Prime lens to use for street shooting. how amazing it is in low light. It only stops to f/16, which doesn't always give me the shutter speed I want, so in this case I use ND filters (and regain my versatility in depth of field!). I would highly recommend the H-X025 to anyone interested in a "big 50" (equivalent) workhorse. See attached photos.
